Creating a Space Where Immersive Artists Can Truly Meet

The Miami Immersive Intensive (MII) is a four-day convening co-produced by Juggerknot Theatre Company and Live Arts Miami . The program is designed to train local and national artists in the tools, language, and methodology of immersive and site-specific experiences while fostering collaboration with industry leaders both nationally and internationally.

The Miami Immersive Intensive is a new kind of creative gathering. More than a workshop. More than a professional development experience. It’s a living, breathing lab for immersive and interactive storytelling—created by and for the artists pushing immersive experiences into uncharted territory.

Bold, hyperlocal, and boundary-breaking, Juggerknot Theatre Company is best known for their critically acclaimed series Miami Motel Stories, which turned entire neighborhoods into stages and audience members into characters. With deep roots in community and a flair for reinvention, Juggerknot has redefined the way we experience live theater—up close, unexpected, and unforgettable.

For 35 years, Live Arts Miami has served as a launchpad for provocative, genre-defying performances. As one of Miami’s most established arts presenters, LAM brings the world’s most fearless creators to local stages while supporting South Florida artists in growing their practices and voices. Through transformative performances, educational programs, and artist support, they empower creativity and celebrate the power of live art.

With its Grass Stains program and site-driven choreographic works, Pioneer Winter Collective turns the city into a canvas. Known for activating public spaces—from historic gardens to race tracks—the Collective challenges norms around access, space, and who gets to tell stories through movement. Their work is poetic, political, and unapologetically rooted in the body.
